TexArrest just cleared several major milestones at once. County expansion continues, core strategy is shifting in a deliberate way, and mobile development officially has a runway.
🚔 Tarrant County — Added to TexArrest
Tarrant County scraping is finished and live.
This marks an important step because Tarrant operates on a different jail system than several previously supported counties. With Tarrant successfully onboarded, TexArrest now supports multiple jail system implementations, not just a single platform.
Tarrant County arrest records and mugshots are now being added into TexArrest alongside existing counties, expanding coverage across North Texas.
🧠 Charge Explainer (Beta) — Now Live
TexArrest has launched a Charge Explainer (Beta) feature.
What this does:
- Provides brief explanations for arrest charges
- Helps users understand what a charge generally means
- Adds contextual content directly to arrest record pages
Important shift:
We are pausing active development on offense taxonomy normalization and allowing the charge list to grow naturally.
Why?
- Counties label the same charges differently
- Over-normalizing creates friction and delays
- A broader, raw charge list may actually improve SEO coverage
- Long-tail charge variations increase search discoverability
Instead of fighting charge variance, TexArrest is now embracing it and using it to expand content depth.
More charge explanations will be added continuously.
📱 Apple Developer Account — Approved
TexArrest has officially been approved for an Apple Developer account.
This clears the final blocker for mobile development.
What this means:
- iOS development can move forward
- TexArrest on the App Store is now realistic and imminent
- Android development continues in parallel
- Backend stability is now the primary gating factor, not platform access
No launch date yet, but the pipeline is officially open.
🧩 Strategy Adjustment — Let It Grow
With multiple counties now live and scraping daily, TexArrest is shifting focus from tight control to controlled expansion:
- More counties
- More charges
- More records
- More explanations
- More search surface area
Cleanup and refinement will happen after scale, not before it.
🚀 What’s Next
- Expand charge explainer coverage
- Continue onboarding counties rapidly
- Monitor Tarrant County scrape stability
- Advance iOS and Android app builds
- Keep public arrest data free, searchable, and accessible
TexArrest continues to move fast, learn fast, and scale deliberately.
More updates coming soon.
